From Allotment to Master Florist
Hello, I am Tina Pound, master florist and founder of Annie-Maiden’s Flowers. My love for the natural world was not born in a corporate design studio; it was grown in the soil of my childhood.
The Root of My Passion
I grew up watching my parents and grandparents (Annie Maden was my Nan) tend to their gardens and allotments. My earliest memories are wrapped in the scent of rich earth, rows of vegetables, sweet summer fruits, and vibrant, home-grown Chrysanthemum blooms.
Living next door to fantastic florist, Ann Luxford, who worked out of her home changed everything for me. Watching her transform simple, fresh stems into works of art showed me the profound emotional power that flowers hold.
Today, flowers are a core part of who I am. They are the language I use to help you celebrate new beginnings at a wedding ceremony, and how I help you honour a beautiful life at a final goodbye.
The Evolution of Annie-Maiden’s Flowers
As my passion developed into a lifelong career, flowers always served as my guiding light. Through every twist, turn, and milestone, I have constantly strived to improve my skills and knowledge. By building on strong, traditional floristry techniques and modern design, my journey has evolved into what it is today: A Master Florist and founder of Annie-Maiden’s Flowers, a studio florist based in Telford.
For me, being a Master Florist means more than just creating beautiful arrangements—it means actively making and promoting sustainable floristry. I am actively transitioning my online studio to better protect the environment through a guiding framework:
